Blue Contagion is a blues based rock project out of Springfield, MO. Singer/guitar/harmonica player Art Bentley conceived the band and is now in the process of reinventing it. Stay tuned
Band Member Bio's
Art Bentley
Art has been an independent career musician for 30 plus years. Regional popularity garnered invites to sing the national anthem for the Kansas City Royals as well as the Miss Missouri Pageant. Mostly performing as a solo acoustic act, he has become a staple of the Branson, MO and Lake of the Ozarks(MO) music scenes. However, Art still maintains a rigorous schedule of travel to play in markets such as Oklahoma, Kansas, and Arkansas.
Writing and recording 13 albums of all original material, 4 of these self produced projects were done in Nashville. During that time, Art opened for acts such as Eric Church and Dierks Bentley.
Art’s last two projects were recorded in Memphis. The ” Blue Contagion” band album, from 2020 garnered international blues radio and internet play.
Winter of 2021, he produced his solo acoustic blues project “Heart So Blue”.
Bryan Lawson
A bass player since age 16, has been a heavily sought after musician his whole musical career. Over the last 30 years, he has been the solid bottom end for many of the regions most popular rock acts. Case in point, Art and Bryan formed a rock trio in the early 2000s and toured the midwest extensively together. Courted by Branson for theater shows, Bryan became bassist to the famed Osmond brothers for 11 years. Bryan performed for huge crowds as he toured America and Europe with them.
Chris Bustillos
Chris taught himself piano at a young age. His keen ear and musical intellect have served him well. He performs in Branson MO regularly as Elton John and Jerry Lee Lewis. Chris also served as music director for the touring production “King and Cash” (a tribute to Elvis and Johnny Cash.
Shane Jennings
Shane came from a musical family and started playing drums at ten years old. A gifted time keeper, Shane has played regionally over the years in multiple popular bands.
